UPDATE: My entry will be at Franklin Square Gallery.
______
On Friday I will have an entry in the "Way It Was" art show (an art show where work is based on an image from a book of Southoprt, NC photos called “The Way It Was.”). So those of you from this neck of the woods should think about checking it out. I don't know which gallery mine will be in, but I hear that there are free carriage rides between galleries anyway.
Here is the original photo of a Southport shrimp dock from shortly after hurricane Hazel.

This is a preliminary sketch

Oh, and here is a description of the photo:
Hurricane Hazel cleared the Southport waterfront of virtually every dock, and thereafter the shrimp packing business was conducted mainly in the Yacht Basin. This was one of the new shrimp docks there. The trawler at the right still shows damage from the storm, and may have been one which washed over the bulkhead and had to be set back into the water by a large crane.
Wish we could come be with you, visit the galleries and enjoy the carriage rides.
